Our purpose
Mostly Points exists to make points, miles, credit cards, and award travel easier to understand and use responsibly. We favor practical explanations, realistic valuations, and recommendations tied to how people actually spend and travel.
Editorial independence
Our opinions are our own. Compensation may support the site, but it does not buy a positive review or control our conclusions. Advertisers and financial institutions do not review or approve editorial content before publication unless that involvement is clearly disclosed.
How we evaluate cards and programs
We consider welcome offers, annual fees, earning rates, credits, transfer partners, redemption options, protections, restrictions, and the realistic effort required to use the benefits. We distinguish an issuer’s stated value from what a benefit may actually be worth to a typical person.
Offers and accuracy
Financial products and loyalty programs change frequently. We review primary sources when possible, date time-sensitive guides, and update important pages as changes come to our attention. The issuer’s current application page always controls.
Corrections
If we find a meaningful error, we will correct it promptly. Readers can report inaccurate or outdated information through the contact page. Material corrections may be noted in the article when context would help readers understand the change.
Responsible credit-card guidance
Rewards are not worth paying avoidable interest or taking on debt. We encourage readers to pay balances in full, understand eligibility rules, protect their credit, and apply only when the product fits their finances and goals.
